This is a small collection of movies generated by the DDR-Galaxy team.

N:20,000 (26M) 20,000 bodies evolve under self-gravitation and an imposed Keplerian potential. The onset of spiral arm structures can be clearly seen.
TDB Potential (14M) 500 bodies, not under self-gravity, are evolved in an imposed time-dependent logarithmic bar potential. This potential (and the coupled density distribution which would produce it) are regularly used to describe spiral arm structures in disc galaxies. Note the similarity to the N:20,000 output above, which develops through self-gravity alone.
Lissajous (6M) A single particle is evolved in a harmonic background potential (Phi = Ax2 + By2); A box orbit, or Lissajous curve, results.
